LISA: When I listened to Jason Berlin, founder of Field Team 6, explain that our Democratic Party only does voting registration drives a few months ahead of elections, my heart sank. I realized how incredibly practical and necessary it is for Democrats to do constant voter registration just like Republicans have done for decades at a grass-roots level. And now, thanks to FT6, we can fill in this gap!

FT6 has many ways to help register left-leaning voting age individuals – texting, calling, sending postcards. I find that writing ten postcards per day and mailing them when I take my daily walk is the best pattern for me. I like having lots of different bright-colored pens on hand, and the 400-packs of postcards on the FT6site are a great value.

I buy rolls of postcard stamps and, when I receive my postcards from FT6,I go on the site to select a campaign that interests me and request 100addresses at a time. I read through the provided scripts and pick one that sounds natural to me and reflects what I believe, and I mark off the mailing lists in sections of 10 addresses. Then I write!

It is important to me to do somethinge very day to help get our democracy back on track.
I love carrying my ‘Immigrants Make America Great sign at rallies, but I felt the need to do more. Postcarding is a very satisfying, tangible way to make a difference!

RANDY: I was grumbling to a friend that too much of my political giving seemed to vanish into consultants’ fees, with little to show for it in terms of encouraging democracy. My friend suggested we stop by a coffee shop, where a group called Postcards 4Democracy – West Seattle
met every Tuesday to write get‑out‑the‑vote postcards.

I walked in, ordered a black coffee and a blueberry scone, and introduced myself to Kathryn and Nancy, the group’s leaders. “This week,” they explained, “we’re writing postcards to likely Democrats in Pennsylvania who aren’t registered yet.We include a QR code sticker to make registration easy.”

I scanned the QR code myself and confirmed my own registration. Then it hit me: this wasn’t just a postcard, it was a personalized invitation — a direct nudge to someone with something concrete to do. I was in!

Since then, our group has grown to three or four dozen people, meeting weekly to write postcards and share conversation.

We deliberately avoid over‑organizing: there’s no need for big meetings or complicated structures. We always have addresses and postcards ready for newcomers, and we help anyone who wants to learn how to get their own fromField Team 6 or other sources. What matters most is the community — Jonathan designing cards for each campaign, Mary Jane sharing news from the Senior Center, me asking for advice about my apple tree.

KAREN: I'm a retired small business owner who has been a political activist since the1970s, when I marched and helped stage a walkout in my high school to protestthe Vietnam War. I've also volunteered for several presidential campaigns, been adelegate at my county and state conventions, and attended numerousdemonstrations.

Like many people, I was devastated after the 2016 election and even more distraught when Trump won a second time. I had written and mailed 2000postcards to swing voters in the run up to the 2024 election, a time-consuming and expensive undertaking. I'm something of an introvert who doesn't like to call or canvass, so something I can do from home by myself suits me best.
Field Team 6's Bring Your Own Phone program offers the chance for someone like me to register voters and encourage them to vote with minimal effort and on my own schedule.

I would encourage anyone who is disappointed with the current administration and who would like to see a level playing field for all Americans to join Field Team6. It's empowering to know that such a small investment of time multiplied by tens of thousands of people has the potential to create a fairer and more affordable country for everyone, and to help preserve our democratic system and institutions.

The training is quick and easy and the tech support has been phenomenal. I've been amazed by the quick responses I've received when I've had questions.

I'm focused on all the winnable seats in the midterms and would especially like to see districts 3 and 8 in my own state of Colorado go blue. Field Team 6 has a good handle on identifying and prioritizing the districts where registration is most needed. I'm grateful to have something I can do every day to increase our chances of victory in 2026.

I hope you'll join our dedicated team to help build a better tomorrow!
